Builder Studio vs WordPress
WordPress is open-source software that runs 39.5% of all websites (W3Techs, October 31, 2026). You install it on a host and extend it with plugins. Builder Studio is one hosted product where you design pages on a canvas, keep content in a CMS and publish.

Which fits your work
Builder Studio fits when
Your site is posts and marketing pages, you want design, content and hosting in one place, or you want an agent to work on the same pages you edit.
WordPress fits when
A plugin runs your store, memberships or courses, you want to run the software on your own server, or an open-source license matters to you.
Questions before you choose
Can I bring my WordPress content?
Posts, categories and images, yes. Builder Studio reads them from your site's public REST API. Pages and your theme stay behind. See what comes across.
Do my WordPress plugins work here?
No. Builder Studio does not run WordPress plugins. Published sites accept form submissions, and SEO settings and redirects are built in, so check anything else your site relies on before you move.
Can I go back to WordPress?
Your WordPress site is untouched by the import, so it stays as it is until you change it. Moving the domain back is a DNS change at your provider.
