Draw by hand, keep every stroke editable
Draw mode gives you a pen, a pencil, a brush and an eraser. Every stroke is a vector you can reshape later.
Tools for drawing
Pressure brush
With a stylus, pressure sets the brush’s width along the stroke. With a mouse or finger, pick one of six width shapes instead.
Pen and pencil
Place points with the pen (P), or sketch freely with the pencil (Shift+P).
Made for a stylus
Once you draw with a stylus such as Apple Pencil, your fingers pan and pinch to zoom instead of drawing.
Vector editing
Lasso, bend, cut, paint bucket, shape builder and variable width tools work on any path.
Booleans and paths
Union, subtract, intersect or exclude shapes. Outline a stroke, or expand and contract a path.
SVG in
Paste or drop SVG and it arrives as vectors you can edit.
