Move content into the CMS
Bring in a WordPress site by its address, or a CSV file from anywhere else. Either way your content lands in a collection on the canvas.
From WordPress
- In a canvas, open Content. Choose WordPress if you have no collections yet, or Import from WordPress in a collection's menu.
- Enter the site's address and the URL segment for posts, which starts as
blog. Leave Create blog pages checked to get a post page, a posts index and a category archive. Press Import. - Watch the count, or close the dialog: the run keeps going and the Content panel keeps reporting it.
- Read the summary. It says how many posts landed and what failed, and Try again retries the failures. Run the import again later to add new posts.
Old post URLs redirect to the new ones once the posts have a page template and the site is published. Pages are not imported; the summary counts them, and Builder can clone them onto the canvas. See what comes across.
From a CSV file
- Create the collection first, from Blog, Changelog or Projects, or from nothing, so its fields are ready.
- Open the collection's menu and choose Import CSV, then pick your file.
- Match each column to a field. A slug column is optional: without one, each slug comes from the title. An image, video, file or audio field takes a link, and an image link is copied into Assets. Gallery and file list columns are skipped.
- Check the preview, which lists rows with errors, and start the import.
Give your items pages
- A WordPress import with Create blog pages checked already has its pages. For any other collection, open its menu and choose Page template. Press Create template, or pick a page you designed and press Connect page.
- Ask Builder to bind the item's fields to the page's layers. Field binding runs through Builder or an agent connected over MCP.
- Publish your drafts, then publish the site. Only published items become pages. Once the site is live, Update live site in the items list brings later content changes across.
How much fits: 250 published items per site on Free.
